The sequel to the 3D based off of 2D linear game, it's Super Mario 3D World!

When it released on November 22, 2013, this sequel took what Super Mario 3D Land did and expanded upon it astronomically. It added more playable characters, such as Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Rosalina. It also added new powerups, like the cat suit and clone cherries. It has still been criticized for being too linear, but it is still an undeniably well-made game, and one that deserves to be played.
